Questions from healthcare providers

A few of the things clinics ask us most about Alothia — how it works, how patients onboard, and how it fits the way you already practice.

No. Alothia is provided to patients at discharge with a single QR code — there's nothing to install, train, or manage. It requires virtually no added staff time to offer.

Patients scan the QR code and complete a short digital onboarding from their phone, typically in under a minute. From there, Alothia is self-guided on their own device.

It slots into the discharge or follow-up flow you already have, with no changes to your clinical software, schedules, or processes.

Alothia supports every kind of recovery — post-operative, injury, rehabilitation, pain management, and more. Post-operative care is one of its primary applications, but it's built for recovery broadly.

No. Alothia is self-guided rather than continuously guided. Before using a protocol for the first time, patients watch a short, approximately six-minute introduction that explains the visualization and how to approach the experience. They can return to this introduction anytime they want a refresher. During the meditation itself, there is no continuous narration. Instead, concise cues help initiate and reinforce the visualization, while an immersive psychoacoustic soundscape provides additional auditory cues to guide the experience and targeted binaural beats support the intended brain state. This allows the patient to remain immersed in an internally generated experience, rather than continually shifting their attention back to spoken instructions.

Alothia isn't a library of general guided meditations. Each protocol is purpose-built around a specific intended health outcome, such as pain reduction, recovery, sleep, or stress regulation. Rather than continuously telling the user what to think or feel, Alothia uses concise cues to initiate a visualization in which the desired outcome is directly represented and experienced. The user isn't simply visualizing something relaxing — the imagery and experience are specifically structured around the health benefit the protocol is designed to activate. Immersive 3D soundscapes provide additional auditory cues that guide and reinforce the visualization, while targeted binaural frequencies support the brain state associated with the protocol.

Each Alothia protocol begins with a specific intended health outcome, rather than meditation being the outcome itself. Current recovery protocols are designed around reducing pain, supporting the body's healing and recovery processes, improving restorative sleep, and lowering stress. The visualization, cueing, psychoacoustic soundscape, and binaural frequencies are then designed together around that particular objective. For example, a pain-focused protocol creates a different internal experience than one designed for sleep or recovery. This means patients aren't simply being asked to meditate and hoping for a general wellness benefit. The experience itself is purpose-built to express and reinforce the specific outcome the protocol is intended to support.

No. Patients use their own phone or tablet and a pair of headphones. There's nothing to install and no special hardware required.
